The Last Great Susquehannock Chief

A novel

From young man to a great chief

The young man of 24 was taken prisoner, and rather than be involved in a prisoner swap he chose to become a Susquehannock warrior.  Only meeting the challenge of becoming Blue Eyes, a young warrior, will let him prove his worth.

His ambition is reflected in the real struggles of an indigenous nation struggling to survive in colonial America amid settler nations aiming to gain footholds in and around their traditional settlements and hunting grounds. At the same time, the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and their Confederation of five nations, were moving south from the Great Lakes and Canada into Ohio and the lush Pennsylvania valleys for settlement. This conflict lead to tribal friction and mistrust.
